The Salanjo Hairdressing Salon

This is probably a blog that only the ladies will be interested in, and will totally understand where I’m coming from!

My last hairdressing appointment was on 23 February just prior to my departure from New Zealand.  I normally have my hair cut and coloured every 5 weeks, so you can imagine what it was starting to look like by the end of March.  Fortunately, I managed to get a half decent cut in the Hilton Hotel in Panama when we stayed there, but I didn’t get the colour done and my hair was turning an interesting shade of brassy blonde with the constant sunshine on it.

My lovely hairdresser, Amanda, had set me up with three sets of colour, gloves and a brush to take with me and it was time to get going with it.  The trip from San Blas back to Shelter Bay Marina was about 8 hours so seemed the perfect time to have a bit of pampering.  I set up a mini salon and Jo worked her magic on the deck of Salanjo – this must rate as the Salon with the best view ever - and I am now looking more like my old self with a hair colour that doesn’t make me look like I’m a barmaid from a pub in the English soap EastEnders!
